Rolex – Full Sized Link Installation Guide

Tools Required

• Oyster bracelet: 1.6 mm flat-blade watchmaker’s screwdriver
• Jubilee bracelet: 1.4 mm flat-blade watchmaker’s screwdriver
• (Optional) Purple Loctite 222 low-strength threadlocker — may help secure the screw, but avoid excess as it can make future removal difficult.

Installation Steps

1. Decide where to add the link

   
   

   • For the most balanced fit, add the link on the 6 o’clock side (bottom of the bracelet when worn) if you need more length, or split additions evenly on both sides of the clasp.

     
     

2. Remove the bracelet screw

   
   
   • Identify the link where the new link will be added.
   • Seat the correct screwdriver fully in the screw slot and turn counter-clockwise to remove the screw.

   • Carefully separate the link.

     
     

3. Install the Steel Reef full link

   
   
   • Position the full link between the open ends of the bracelet.
   • (Optional) Apply a very small drop of Loctite 222 to the screw threads.

   • Insert the screw and tighten clockwise until snug — do not overtighten.

     
     

4. Final check

   
   
   • Ensure the link articulates smoothly and the screw head sits flush.
   • Try the watch on to confirm the fit; adjust by moving the bracelet along the clasp’s micro-adjustment holes if needed.
